Department of Global Health Awards 25 Students with Travel Fellowships

The Department of Global Health awarded 25 international travel fellowships to support the projects and research of graduate students at UW for the next academic year. Students from varied disciplines across the University of Washington, including global health, epidemiology, nursing, health metric sciences, and environmental health sciences, will travel to 13 countries to engage with local communities and pursue fieldwork experience.

Department of Global Health Awards 15 Students with Travel Fellowships

The Department of Global Health awarded fifteen international travel fellowships to support the projects and research of graduate students and medical residents at UW for the next academic year. Students from varied disciplines across the University, including global health, epidemiology, nursing, psychology, architecture, and environmental health, will travel to eight countries to engage with local communities and pursue fieldwork experience.

Thirty-five outstanding UW Students Receive Global Travel Fellowships in 2018

The Department of Global Health awarded 35 international travel fellowships this spring to support the projects and research of graduate and professional students and medical residents at UW for the next academic year. Thirty-five students from varied disciplines across the University, including global health, nursing, epidemiology, medicine, anthropology, psychology, and pharmacy, will travel to  seventeen countries pursuing fieldwork experience.

30 Exceptional UW Students Receive Global Travel Fellowships

The Department of Global Health awarded 30 international travel fellowships this spring to support the projects and research of graduate and professional students and medical residents at UW for the next academic year. Students from varied disciplines across the University, including global health, social work, psychology, and pharmacy, will travel to 16 countries pursuing fieldwork experience. Projects range from implementing a harm-reduction program in Vietnam to developing evaluation tools for emergency medical and trauma response systems in sub-Saharan Africa.

Department Selects 19 Graduate Students and Trainees to Receive Travel Awards

In May 2014, the Department of Global Health awarded fellowships to 19 outstanding students and medical residents. With support from one of these five programs they will travel to 10 countries to work on wide variety of projects addressing issues such as childhood cancer, TB, and mental health. The 2014-2015 fellowship recipients are listed below.
