Health metrics and evaluation helps identify the best strategies to build a healthier world. By measuring health, tracking program performance, and finding ways to maximize health system impact, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), one of our key partners, provides a foundation for informed decision-making that ultimately will lead to better health for people worldwide. IHME provides rigorous and comparable measurement of the world’s most important health problems and evaluates the strategies used to address them. Led by Christopher J.L. Murray, MD, DPhil.

The Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) is the largest and most comprehensive effort to date to measure epidemiological levels and trends worldwide. With more than 1,000 GBD collaborators from 108 countries participating in the most recent update, we are always working to expand the collaborative network. Enrollment is now open for the next round of the GBD, which will produce estimates through the end of 2015. We invite you to apply to be a GBD collaborator if you are interested in participating in this next iteration of the GBD. Led by Christopher J.L. Murray, MD, DPhil.
