Undergraduates at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, have options for both a Public Health – Global Health Major and a Global Health Minor. The Public Health – Global Health Major is administered in the School of Public Health Dean's Office, and the Global Health Minor is administered in the Department of Global Health. The Public Health – Global Health program allows undergraduates to pursue an interdisciplinary degree that trains in critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation in order to confront the world’s issues in health and social determinants of wellbeing. Global Health Minor
Welcome to the Global Health Minor!
The Global Health Minor provides students with a transdisciplinary introduction to the key concepts, debates, challenges, and opportunities in the field of global health. Global Health Minor students work collaboratively to understand and discuss the determinants of global health and global responses to health problems, including health systems. By becoming knowledgeable in these core areas, students will also be able to engage actively in efforts to improve health as global citizens.
