Research Interests

I am fascinated by infectious diseases of global health urgency, particularly emerging parasitic and viral threats. I am interested in understanding the molecular drivers of these diseases to inform vaccine development and other translational interventions. I am especially passionate about diseases that disproportionately affect low- and middle-income regions and hope to connect my bench research with work that advances global health equity.

Other Information

I am the co-founder of Fuel for Thought Foundation (www.fuelforthought.net), a nonprofit providing meals and resources to children in South Africa. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, photography, hiking, and playing the guitar!
