The Endowed Fellowship for Global Health Excellence, Equity and Impact, offered by the University of Washington Department of Global Health (DGH), helps support students from disadvantaged groups who might not otherwise be able to attend graduate school.
This fund has been pivotal at enabling our global health MPH and PhD programs to address barriers to the successful recruitment and retention of highly ranked underrepresented students. Award recipients choose the UW not only for its strong training programs, but also knowing that their lived experiences and diverse backgrounds are valued. Students who receive these awards go on to careers in global and public health at highly regarded research and practice organizations and governments around the world.
