Fellowship Recipient, University of Washington Department of Global Health

Q: Please tell us about yourself. Where did you live before Seattle and what were you doing?

A: I was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and moved to the US in 2011. I graduated from the University of Kansas in the fall of 2017 with a major in human biology and a minor in journalism. Prior to starting my MPH, I was working as a front office assistant at an urgent care clinic.

Q: What are you looking forward to in the MPH program?

A: I hope to utilize the skills learned in class to solve issues related to maternal and child health (MCH) both locally and abroad. I am also interested in communication, so I hope to find how MCH and communication intersect.
