Tell us a little bit about yourself
I grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I earned my BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. Prior to joining the Pathobiology PhD program, I worked as a research technician in a malaria drug discovery lab at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
Why did you decide to attend the UW for Graduate School?
I chose the Pathobiology program at the UW partially because of its unique position in the Department of Global Health which incorporates and emphasizes trainings in equity in global health and decolonization in science.
What are your research interests?
I am interested in pathogenesis and maternal-fetal health.
What are you enjoying most about your graduate program?
The one thing that I enjoy most about my graduate program so far is the talented, diverse group of students that I get to be a part of.
