The University of Washington, in partnership with the Kenya Medical Research Institute, is part of the largest clinical trial, to date, examining diarrhea management.

The study, to find out whether antibiotics can be used to treat diarrhea to help prevent the death of thousands of children, was funded with a $2.5 million grant from the World Health Organization. The cash will be distributed over four years.
