The Department of Global Health is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the 22nd Annual Principles of STD/HIV Research Course. The Course was first held in 1993 with the aim of offering an intensive overview of the skills needed to pursue a research career in the field of STD. Since then, more than 1,500 participants have attended. Each year, an average of 100 participants from approximately 25 different countries attend the course. Course faculty are international leaders in the field of STD/HIV research and come from the University of Washington as well as other research institutions in Seattle and across the globe.
The course will be held July 21 - July 31, 2014 at the University of Washington in Seattle. The aim of the course is to offer an intensive overview of the skills needed to pursue a research career in the field of STD and/or HIV research.
General course application and registration deadline is May 1, 2014. Scholarship application deadline is April 1, 2014. Please contact pshr@uw.edu with any questions not answered on the course website.
