The effect of pharmacy-delivered PrEP services on reach and access in Kenya

This hybrid implementation cluster-randomized trial aims to test the effect of pharmacy-based PrEP delivery compared to pharmacy referral to existing clinic-based PrEP services in Kenya. This trial is being conducted in Thika and Kisumu, Kenya in collaboration with the Partners in Health and Research Development Clinic (Site PI: Dr. Kenneth Ngure), the Kenya Medical Research Institute (Site PI: Dr. Elizabeth Bukusi), and Jhpiego Kenya (Co-Investigator: Daniel Were). Funding is provided through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through 2025.
