HEU outcomes: population-evaluation and screening strategies (HOPE)

This study will provide rigorous epidemiologic evidence regarding the influence of fetal exposure to HIV and ART on developmental and mental health outcomes from infancy to adolescence using the following study designs: Longitudinal cohort study, cross sectional assessments and costing and implementation surveys. We propose to evaluate HIV-exposed uninfected children (HEU) using different epidemiologic approaches to determine whether HEU have increased risk of adverse neurodevelopmental or mental health outcomes. Primary collaborators are University of Nairobi, Kenyatta National Hospital.
