Viral determinants of natural human cytomegalovirus transmission

This study will characterize characteristics of transmitter/founder viruses for distinct modes of CMV transmission between mothers and children in a household study, with 2 years of follow-up. With an administrative supplement, we will additionally characterize the incidence and intrahousehold transmission rates of SARS-CoV2 transmission.
