Strengthening Laboratory Infrastructure and Technical Capability and Training of the Healthcare Workforce (Laboratory, Physicians, Pharmacists) in Cambodia
This project aims to improve the ability of medical personnel to recognize such a threat, order the appropriate diagnostic tests, and appropriately act on the testing results and to build capacity for infectious diseases diagnosis by strengthening the infrastructure and technical capabilities of laboratory staff in clinical microbiology, biochemistry and hematology and by strengthening the capacity of health care providers. Funding is provided by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) of the United States Department of Defense to promote the local ability of medical personnel to recognize an outbreak or emergence of a new health emergency threat and to respond effectively. |
