QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (QI) OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE AND HIV SERVICES: TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (TA) TO THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH (MOH) AND IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF HIV AND PRIMARY HEALTH CARE (PHC) SERVICES ACTIVITIES
Building MOH – Provincial Health Departments’ (DPS) and IPs’ capacity to implement standardized supportive supervision, Clinical Mentoring and Monitoring of activities to improve the quality of HIV/AIDS clinical services;
Providing Technical Assistance to sites in order to increase and improve the quality of HIV+ patient clinical monitoring through:
1) Mentoring and on-the-job training sessions to reinforce clinicians’ knowledge of clinical criteria for HIV treatment failure (TF) in order to increase the number of patients screened for ART failure;
2) Monitor and promote the use of viral load (VL) testing for patient clinical monitoring.
