Identification of drug-targetable IFN-stimulated genes mediating immune activation during ART-treated HIV-1 infection

This project seeks to understand how expression interferon stimulated genes (ISGs) changes following HIV-1 infection and how ISG expression correlates with immunophenotypes and the HIV-1 reservoir. Using that information we will use novel bioinformatics approaches to identify existing drugs that could be repurposed for reducing HIV-1-associated immune activation.
