Exploring social, cultural, and individual determinants of risk, prevention and response behaviors related to the five priority zoonotic diseases in Côte d’Ivoire: A formative study.

 This is a formative, qualitative study to identify social, cultural, and individual determinants of risk, prevention and response behaviors in Côte d’Ivoire, with respect to the country’s five priority zoonotic diseases (PZD). Findings from the study will be used to inform: 
• the creation of community engagement tools to increase awareness and acceptability of key prevention and response behaviors 
• a list of standard prevention and response behaviors along with a message bank tailored to local contexts to promote the behaviors 
• the development of tools for collecting and monitoring public information needs (including rumors) in real time and a system for sharing this information with national and regional coordinating committees, with a view toward taking appropriate action when necessary 
• the development of the national risk communication strategy
