Chronic Inflammation and Early Risk of Atherosclerosis among HIV-infected Adults in Kenya

This is a cross-sectional study to investigate the relative contribution of microbial translocation (MT) to inflammation and pre-clinical atherosclerosis in HIV-infected adults on antiretroviral therapy (ART). Primary collaborators are Drs. Carey Farquhar and Stephanie Page at UW and Dr. Julius Oyugi at University of Nairobi College of Health Sciences, Department of Medical Microbiology, Kenya.
