Mip as a therapeutic target to treat bio-warfare threat Agents

The ultimate goal of the project is the discovery and development of a new kind of antibiotic which is able to combat infections by biowarfare agents (CBRN agents), e.g. Burkholderia pseudomallei. Addressing a virulence factor, which is responsible for penetration and dissemination the host, is of special interest in the case of a biowarfare agent attack, because the bacterium will not be infectious anymore.
