Briefing note on Implementation science on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health
While we need to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of interventions to improve adolescent health, there is an equally important need to improve our knowledge and understanding of effective ways of delivering interventions have been shown to be effective. That is the focus of this body of work.
We have four lines of work.
1. Analyzing the adolescent content of national contraceptive policies, strategies and guidelines using RHR’s guidelines on Ensuring Human Rights in the provision of contraceptive information and services
2. Documenting case studies of low and middle income countries which have scale up ASRH programmes, and drawing lessons from them
3. Evaluating ASRH projects and programmes to contribute to our collective knowledge and understanding of widespread programmatic challenges
4. Carrying out research to learn why important changes have occurred, and how to deliver selected health interventions at scale
