A Study to Investigate Sexual Health, HIV and Co-morbidity with Non-Communicable Infections among Older Persons (SHIOP).

SHIOP is the first study to investigate the sexuality, sexual health and the co-morbidity of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) with chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among older adults aged 50 years and older in a high HIV prevalence setting in KwaZulu-Natal. Collaborators include UKZN. Funding is provided by the MRC.
