Defining Critical Events in Early HIV Infection: Effects of Alcohol & Early ART

Oversee the laboratory work to identify HIV integration sites from each subject to determine if certain integration sites allow cells with infectious virus to persist and proliferate sustaining an active HIV reservoir. In addition, the method quantifies persisting 1LTR and 2LTR frequencies in the DNA, which will be used to model HIV replication.
