Disaster Disparities

This project examines how exposures to weather-related disasters has variable effects upon livelihoods, migration, and health in the United States, depending on the strength of mediating institutions.  Collaborators on this project include: Dr. Elizabeth Fussell (Population Studies Training Center, Brown University), Professor Luanne Thomson (Program on Climate Change), Professor Marina Alberti (Urban Ecology Research Lab), Dr. Matthew Dunbar (Center for Studies in Demography & Ecology), and Professor Mark Ellis (Geography).
