Scaling Up Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) to Prevent HIV Transmission in Zimbabwe

The goal of this project is to strengthen health systems and increase capacity for sustainable provision of effective VMMC scale up in Zimbabwe through improvements in the availability, integration and quality prevention services under PEPFAR. A consortium of local partners (ZAZIC) are working to support the Ministry of Health with the scale up of VMMC in 10 districts. So far, over 300,000 boys and men between 10-49yrs have been circumcised.
