The Role of the Global Health Physician in Shaping American Healthcare

A prospective, qualitative analysis of the patient-centered value that global health physicians bring back with them to their practice settings in the United States. Following a nationwide cohort of global health physicians, inclusion criteria will include internists who practice at least four months of hospital-based practice in the United States at an academic medical and at least four months each year of clinical work abroad. Primary collaborators are Possible, Nepal's MoHP. Funding is provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (PI: Duncan Maru).
