Understanding the Genetics of Epilepsies in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

The Demographic Republic of Congo (DRC) and most sub-Saharan African countries carry the largest portion of the global burden of epilepsy in the world. This project plan is: 1) To provide an improvement of resources and training related to epilepsy diagnostic and management, genetic research, and career development to our collaborators in the DRC. 2) To establish a modern and comprehensive epilepsy center that will work in partnership with our institution.
