Selam Yadetta is the Program Manager for the Master of Public Health program. She is a first-generation graduate and received her BA in Human Development and MA in Educational Leadership at Washington State University. Selam has over 8 years of experience working in higher education, starting in a student services position at WSU’s New Student Programs and later transitioning to Reinstatement Coordinator and Academic Advising. Her advising philosophy is striving to help students navigate their academic and career goals through holistic student-centered developmental advising. She believes that education has the power to enhance lives, families, and communities and seeks to provide a safe, inclusive, and compassionate environment. Selam enjoys traveling, painting, yoga, cooking, and spending her time with her family and friends in her free time. She speaks Oromiffa, Amharic, and Kiswahili.
