Mary Madden is a Grant Manager for Global WACh. She earned her BA in Anthropology from Whitman College and her MA in Applied Anthropology from Mississippi State University. Mary has previously worked with tribal and government stakeholders to interpret and enact federal land management policies and has assisted tribes applying for federal funding opportunities. Before coming to UW, she also worked as a fundraiser and grants manager for non-profits and the Exploratorium in San Francisco. A desire to get back into the federal funding and research space brought her to Global WACh, where she enjoys simplifying the lives of researchers by handling pre- and post-award budget and grant management.
