Mariyam works as a Data Manager for the DeWorm 3 project at the Global WACh in the DGH where she focuses on data quality and management of qPCR samples across the 3 study sites. Mariyam completed her MPH in Epidemiology focusing on Maternal and Child Health where she worked on mixed methods research with COVID 19 and Maternal postpartum depression. Her research focus during MPH was maternal mental health and pregnancy outcomes. Post MPH, she worked as an Epidemiologist for a county level health department on their COVID 19 response team focusing on outbreak investigations, daily case reporting and live database management. She also has 3 years previous experience as a clinician practicing OBGYN and Infertility Medicine in Mumbai, India. Mariyam enjoys working with data and has a special interest in research structured around improving women’s health globally.
