Leti Muñoz is the Communications Manager for the Department of Global Health. Prior to joining DGH, Leti was at AltaMed Health Services in Los Angeles, CA. There, she led the communications for COVID-19 education and developed a strategy to combat vaccine hesitancy in some of the most economically challenged regions of Los Angeles and Orange counties. She has extensive experience in health communications and developing campaigns to improve health outcomes. To name a few: medical-dental integration, campaigns to combat stigmas about opioid addiction, and strategies to increase screening rates for breast cancer. Leti holds a BA in political science and a MPH with an emphasis on urban health. She is excited about joining UW and DGH, addressing issues of health inequities by promoting awareness of their worldwide research for better global health.
