Biography 

Jaclyn Escudero is currently a Research Coordinator in the Department of Global Health, supporting projects on tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment in HIV-infected and HIV-uninfected women and children. Jaclyn has a BA in Psychology from the George Washington University and, in June 2019, she received an MPH in Global Health and a Global WACh Certificate from the University of Washington. During her MPH program, she worked with Global WACh as a Research Assistant on a systematic review of demand creation for HIV testing services, as well as PrIYA, PrIMA, and PrIYA-Qual, studies evaluating delivery of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention. For her master’s thesis, she collected and analyzed qualitative data on community perceptions about PrEP use among adolescent girls and young women in western Kenya. Prior to moving to Seattle, Jaclyn served in the Peace Corps as a Community Health Educator in Cameroon and worked in grant administration at the National Science Foundation.
