Ivonne X. Butler is a public health professional with more than 18 years of experience in the design, leadership, and management of international health programs. As Deputy Director of I-TECH, she leads and oversees the organizational learning portfolio, fosters strategic communication across the organization, and oversees strategic partnerships of the I-TECH Center.
Ms. Butler joined I-TECH in 2006 and has served in various leadership, program management and technical roles, supporting multiple countries and a diverse project portfolio from health systems strengthening to prevention and clinical treatment programs. Prior to joining I-TECH, Ms. Butler was the PMTCT Program Manager for the International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Program (ICAP) in Maputo, Mozambique, and worked for USAID/Mozambique as Technical Specialist in Behavior Change Communication, overseeing USAID’s prevention portfolio. Ms .Butler holds a Masters in Public Health in Health Behavior/Health Education from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
