A native of Richmond Beach, Washington, Chris Dodd, MD attended medical school at Boston University, the Program for Clinical Effectiveness at Harvard School of Public Health, and completed his residency in internal medicine and global health equity at the University of Miami Jay Weiss Center. Since then, he has worked clinically as a Hospitalist at Harborview, Medical Director at Neighborcare Health, and Chief Clinical Officer at ConcertoHealth.
Dr. Dodd has lived and worked extensively in Nicaragua, working with a local non-governmental organization and Nicaragua's Ministry of Health. He has trained and worked with community health workers/peer educators in both rural and urban settings, with a focus on their integration into the formal health care system and evaluation of their impact, with a specific focus on non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.
Dr. Dodd has also lived and worked in Mozambique with Health Alliance International, providing support to their Population and Health Implementation and Training partnership with the Mozambican Ministry of Health.
