Dr. Anwar Parvez Sayed is a Public Health Specialist and HIV & TB physician. He is also a Fellow in HIV from International Training and Education Centre for Health (I-TECH)/ GHTM, Chennai, clinical and Leadership programme. He is presently serving UW I-TECH India as Direcctor - Clinical Programs, where he is working in close coordination with National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) of India in providing National and regional level Technical assistance for strengthening the capacity of Centres of Excellence in HIV care across the country and assisting HIV treatment program. He is a National Level Trainer and has been involved with NACO training programs since 2011. He was a member of various guidelines writing groups of NACO.
In his previous assignments, he has worked for NACO as “ART Regional Coordinator for Maharashtra and Goa” for two years. He also served Indian Red Cross Society in the capacity of “Consultant HIV TB Physician and Clinical Trainer” at Bel-Air Hospital for three years. His major areas of interests include training/ capacity building, curriculum development, distance learning, HIV/AIDS & Tuberculosis program management and public health intervention programs.
