Regulation of Host Inflammatory Responses and Outcome in Melioidosis by TLR5

This study investigates the mechanism of host innate immune receptor TLR5 signaling in melioidosis. The design of a prospective, observational clinical study within the project also offers the opportunity to study the epidemiology and management of sepsis in northeast Thailand. The study is conducted in partnership with colleagues from Mahidol University and Sappasithiprasong Hospital. Funding is provided by NHLBI and the Wellcome Trust.
