HIV Positive Tumor Genetics Project

This project seeks to procure tumor tissue from patients with Burkitt lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, lung cancer and cervical cancer in Uganda to determine whether the genomic signature of these cancers differs between HIV+ and HIV-negative persons, and whether unique genomic signatures might be present in sub-Saharan Africa when compared with tumors from individuals in North America.
