The major goals of this sequential explanatory mixed-methods research project are to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability and preliminary effectiveness of peer-delivered combination prevention tools (HIV self-testing, self-sampling for sexually transmitted infection testing and daily oral pre-exposure prophylaxis) for transgender women in Uganda. Primary collaborators are investigators at Harvard Medical School and the University of Washington. This work is supported by an R34 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health through 2022.
