Community-based Distribution Channels to Optimize Adolescent HIV Self-testing in Nairobi, Kenya

The Youth Engaged Self-Testing (YES) Study is a prospective cohort study with a qualitative component to compare three community-based distribution channels of HIV self-testing to adolescents and young adults on testing uptake, completion, linkage to care or repeat testing to inform national guidelines. Risk behaviors and self-testing preferences also will be characterized. Primary collaborators are at UW, University of Nairobi, NASCOP, and Liverpool VCT. Funding is provided through a CFAR New Investigator Award (PI: Wilson).
