UW Center for Aids Research: Biometrics Core

The Biometrics Core promotes and facilitates multidisciplinary interactions between professional biostatisticians, biomathematicians, and other quantitative scientists, and basic, clinical and behavioral scientists involved in nearly every area of HIV/AIDS-related research and provides access to data entry and data management services for researchers conducting AIDS-related research at the University of Washington (UW) and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC). The long-term goal is to provide methodological leadership and collaboration in the areas of prevention, pathogenesis and treatment of HIV disease, and to enhance the involvement of biostatisticians at the UW and FHCRC in HIV/AIDS research.  The existence of the Biometrics Core provides an infra-structure and staff available to CFAR investigators who have quantitative aspects of their research that require support from quantitative scientists, including biostatisticians and biomathematicians.
