The Role of Ser/Thr/Tyr phosphosignaling in the M. tuberculosis latency switch

This project aims to elucidate the role of phosphosignaling in controlling the switch into and out from latency, providing much needed insight into the mechanisms of TB persistence. To this end, we will determine the hypoxia-dependent phosphoproteins by mass spectrometry-based phosphoproteomics and transcriptomics and test their causal roles for survival of Mtb during non-replication.
