Strengthening Resilience To Climate Change In The Health Sector In The Greater Mekong Subregion: Climate Change Adaptation and Health Expert

This project aims to build enhanced capacity of countries and health agencies in climate change adaptation. The project scope covers three GMS countries: Cambodia, Lao PDR and Viet Nam. The project will help identify trends in epidemiological patterns and various pathways by which climate change affects public health. The project is in cooperation with reputable regional and global research institutions specialized on climate change, public health and environment authorities aims to build science-based knowledge to address the impact of climate change. The interventions will help ministries of health to improve their data base on disease incidence (early warning), reinforce surveillance to strengthen clinical services and identify adaptation options including cost-effective health interventions. Funding is through Con Sante, which is contracted with the Asian Development Bank.
