HIV-1 Counseling and Testing for Children at Home (CATCH)

The CATCH Study is a prospective cohort study optimizing mechanisms to identify undiagnosed, asymptomatic HIV-infected children in Kenya and link them to HIV care. Our first aim is to compare the acceptability, uptake, yield, linkage-to-care, and clinical outcome of clinic- versus home-based HIV testing for children of HIV-infected parents. The study is supported by a UW Royalty Research Fund (RRF, PI Slyker), NIH R21 (PI John-Stewart), and NIH F31 award (PI: Wagner). Primary collaborators are the UW and Kenyatta National Hospital.
