Ecological drivers of transmission, emergence, and displacement of an aquatic virus in fish hosts

This project combines field surveillance data and in vivo experimentation to determine drivers of viral displacement and emergence events observed in the field. This contributes to development of a landscale-scale Bayesian viral transmission model for a rhabdovirus in salmonid fish throughout the Pacific Northwest. Funding is provided through USDA as part of the joint USDA-NSF-NIH program on Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Disease.
