Biography 

Kelsey Kinderknecht is a Research Coordinator supporting a seroprevalence study within Global WACh on COVID-19 prevalence, household transmission, and antibody response among pregnant women and household members in WA state. She holds a BS in Health Sciences from Furman University, a Master of Public Health in Public Health Nutrition from the University of Washington and is a Registered Dietitian. Prior to attending graduate school, Kelsey worked as a cooking and gardening educator in public schools in New York City with FoodCorps, a nonprofit organization connecting low-income youth to healthy food in schools. During graduate school at UW and as a Maternal and Child Health Nutrition Leadership trainee, she developed and implemented social and emotional learning strategies in the school cafeteria environment, helped evaluate the Seattle Sugary Beverage tax, and evaluated the impact of federal policies on child dietary quality for participants in the school meals program. Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys open-water swimming, biking, running, and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking.
