Julia is a Research Scientist in the Department of Global Health. She has managed a number of implementation science projects focusing on maternal and newborn health including evaluations of the PRONTO training methodology and several current studies evaluating strategies for implementing PrEP in maternal and child health clinics in Kenya. Her interest and experience focus on implementing implementation science studies with a focus on data collection systems including dissemination of results.
She has a BA in Biology and Politics from Mount Holyoke College and Master of Public Health from the University of Washington in Epidemiology and the Maternal and Child Health Leadership Program. Prior to moving to Seattle, Julia was the Executive Director of Global Health through Education, Training and Service, a small NGO emphasizing incorporation of community–based education approaches into health professional’s education
