Jessica joined the Global Health Resource Center in early 2013, and has thoroughly enjoyed her time at the University of Washington. Her role as a Program Manager includes advising for the Global Health Minor for undergraduates and coordinating an STD/HIV Research Course for post-graduates, trainees, and researchers. Jessica completed her undergraduate degrees at the University of Maryland, and is relatively new to the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys being a part of the Department of Global Health family at UW, and is continually amazed by all of the great things that are accomplished here. Having seen within her own family the struggles that immigrants face when arriving to the U.S., Jessica looks forward to helping students understand the field of global health and connect with opportunities to bring the global vision back home to the U.S. Jessica’s passions include reading mystery novels, watching crime shows and action movies, cooking and baking healthy (but tasty!) treats, teaching, dancing, playing and watching sports, and supporting local sports teams (Go Hawks and Sounders!).
