Haidong Wang, PhD, is an associate professor at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). A specialist in demography and economics, Wang is leading the work on building a new model life table system that is one of the foundational pieces for the ambitious Global Burden of Disease 2010 study. As an extension of that work, Wang was one of the leaders of the IHME research team that identified new trends in global child mortality and adult mortality in 2010.
