Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion: "Saving Face"

"Saving Face" is an Academy Award winning documentary (40 mins) which follows several women survivors of acid attacks in Pakistan, their fight for justice, and a London-based reconstructive surgeon who has returned to his homeland to help them restore their faces and their lives.
There will be a post-film discussion facilitated by: Muatasim Qazi, Pakistani Journalist, Assistant Editor for “The Baloch Hal;” Sarah Rizvi, Community Advocate at API Chaya; Dr. Sutapa Basu, Executive Director of the UW Women’s Center; and Dr. Tabassum Saeed, Chair of Human Development Foundation’s Seattle Chapter.
