The Global Center for Intergrated Health of Women, Adolescents and Childrent (Global WACh) at the University of Washington aims to have global breadth, and is unique in its lifecycle lens approach to the integration of woman, child, and adolescent health, and its focus on supporting discovery, leadership, and collaboration. Through collaboration, we aim to foster new areas of research, create innovative solutions, and develop leaders who have the benefit of a multidisciplinary approach.

Program in Education and Research in Latin America (PERLA), led by Joe Zunt, MD, MPH and Dilys Walker, MD, promotes interdisciplinary training exchange and research projects in infectious and chronic diseases, maternal and reproductive health. Our current collaborating institutions are located throughout Peru and Mexico and we are expanding to include other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Washington Global Health Alliance Discovery Series is a collaboration with the Department of Global Health and the Washington Global Health Alliance, this lecture series was initiated to spark discussion within the university and community about drug discovery and science and other relevant topics of importance to the field of global health. The series is co-led by faculty members Rachel Nugent and Tom Hawn and administered by the GHRC. It is typically held monthly on the University of Washington campus. The lecture is followed by a networking reception.
